Admission

How to Apply

To apply online, applicants should first read the Instructions to Applicants carefully. Then, scroll down and log in using their date of birth, Class XII index number, and CID number. First-time users must complete all required personal and academic details.

Procedures for Online Application

Applicants who wish to apply through the online admission system should follow the steps carefully to make sure their application is successfully submitted.

First, applicants must read the “Instructions to Applicants” carefully. These instructions provide important information about eligibility, required documents, programme choices, and the application process.

After reading the instructions, scroll down the page until the login section appears. The system will ask for three details: Date of Birth, Class XII Index Number, and CID Number. Applicants must select their correct date of birth and enter their Class XII index number and CID number accurately. After entering the details, click the Login button or press the Enter key.

If the applicant is logging in for the first time, they must complete all the required information in the application form. This may include personal details, academic information, contact details, and other required fields. Applicants should ensure that all information entered is correct before submitting.

Applicants can then apply for the Government Scholarship by selecting the eligible programmes and submitting the application. After clicking the submit button, the system should display the message “You have applied successfully.” This message confirms that the application has been accepted by the system.

If an “Error” message appears, it means the application was not submitted successfully. In that case, the applicant should repeat the application process carefully by following the same steps again.

After completing the Government Scholarship application, applicants may also apply for Self-Funding slots. This is important for applicants who wish to be considered for admission as self-funding students if they are not selected for a Government Scholarship. Applicants must complete the Self-Funding application form for the programmes for which they are qualified.

Once the application has been accepted, applicants can log in again to view their selected programme choices and merit ranking for the programmes they have qualified for. Applicants are advised to log in regularly to check the status of their merit ranking and any updates related to admission.

Explore Colleges and Admission Programmes

The Royal University of Bhutan consists of nine constituent colleges and two affiliated colleges located across the country. These colleges offer a wide range of academic programmes in different fields of study, including science, technology, education, business, humanities, health sciences, engineering, and other professional areas.

Admissions to these colleges are carried out every year based on the admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and selection procedures set for the respective programmes. Each college offers different programmes, and the availability of seats, entry requirements, programme structure, fees, and other admission-related information may vary from one college to another.

Therefore, applicants are encouraged to visit the official website of the respective college for detailed and updated information. The college websites provide important admission details such as programmes offered, eligibility criteria, application procedures, fee structure, academic calendar, contact information, and other relevant announcements.

Prospective students should carefully review the information provided by each college before applying, so that they can choose the programme and college that best match their academic interests, qualifications, and career goals.
